Sandy Facetimed her son, who had asthma, as she tried to comfort him with songs she sang to him when he was young, The Detroit News reported.

But he passed away the next day, leaving his heartbroken mother without any family.

She was unable to comfort them and unable to say last goodbye. “There’s not even a word created to describe my pain. It’s unimaginable,” Sandy expressed.

Because of social distancing rules, her friends couldn’t comfort her in her hour of grief.

Freddie’s high school football coach, Andy Torok, said: “You feel helpless. You can’t go to the house and tell them it’s going to be all right.”

Sandy, who was married to Freddie Jr. for 35 years, became pregnant at the age of 40. Freddie III was called a ‘miracle child’ after she suffered numerous miscarriages.

“I watched my son go from completely well and whole and happy to being gone in three days.”

As relatives and friends came by to give her comfort, they were not allowed to go inside her house even though Sandy doesn’t show any symptoms.

“It seems so unfair,” she said. “I can’t even give them a proper burial. I just have to put them into a box and put them into a hole.”

Sandy’s goddaughter, Cassandra Dukes, said: “This is so hard to sit through, knowing I can’t love on my family.”

“Medical science says I should be traumatized,” she expressed. “I had a traumatic experience twice. I should be banging my head against the wall.

“But God said no. I’m standing here in the strength of the Lord, not strength of my own. God has got me.”
