A mother has opened up about her reward system for her kids and revealed that she makes them earn toilet paper by doing extra chores such as cleaning.
With school classes at a halt, 17-year-old Tyler Bott from Utah has taken to TikTok to show a video of his mum explaining to him and his siblings how things are going to work around the house during the outbreak.
As the mother explained, she hid all of the family’s stocked toilet paper and will only give it to her children after they complete chores like cleaning and making their beds.
The mum also came up with a reward system, whereas she awards her kids with one to several sheets of toilet paper depending on the task they complete.
“So you guys heard that school’s gonna be canceled for two weeks. We’re not just gonna sit around playing video games,” the mother said.
“We’re gonna have jobs. You can have some fun, but we’re gonna do some extra jobs.”
The mum then showed her list of chores, which consist of daily obligations and additional tasks, to her kids.
While daily obligations such as brushing teeth, making the bed, and feeding cats come with a reward of one point, study time is worth five points.
In addition, the kids can opt for extra chores such as mopping, cleaning, and washing the dishes to earn extra points.
As the mother went on to explain, each point earned equals to one square sheet of toilet paper.
“I’ve taken all the toilet paper out of the house and you have to earn it,” she insisted.
