It is already 2020, and the LGBTQ is a completely visible part of the society in the west.
However, it is still a controversial issue.
According to reports, individuals who are at the age of 18 to 34, their comfortable interaction with homosexual people have declined 63% in 2016, and 45% in 2018.
It shows that the younger generations are much more open-minded on the topic of sexual orientation than their parents.
Therefore, statistics have shown that about 36% of the individuals have felt uncomfortable after learning about a family member to be a part of the LGBTQ community.
In other words, the phrase “coming out from the closet” is still a pretty tough experience for many gay individuals.
However, during such situations, if they do not gain support from their loved ones, who else can they turn to? The question was still unanswered until now.
The wiser and older generation came into the picture after that show their tolerance and acceptance towards homosexuality and their kids. One such incident did take place, where a hand-written from 2013 went viral on the internet.
The letter from a grandfather to his heartless daughter, where he revealed the true meaning of unconditional love. After he told his mother, Christine of him being gay he receives unexpected results.
Chad was rejected by his mother in a very cruel way as he was kicked out of his house. But Chad, never once thought that will find the ally, support, and love that he wanted through his grandfather.
After learning what happened with him, Chad’s grandpa stood up for him and lashed out at his daughter through a long hand-written letter.
He expressed his letter that, his grandson was not raised to be gay, but simply was born this way. His letter served as a perfect response towards Christine’s action and the viewers have praised and appreciated what Chad’s grandpa did for him.
Chad’s grandpa said in his letter that when they are in the middle of disowning children, he also gave a “goodbye” to Christine as well.
