According to Disney World regulations, visitors are banned from carrying firearms at all of their theme parks, including Epcot Centers, and hotels.

As Bay News 9 reported, Smith was stopped by security officers at the check line, and they found a 9mm handgun along with a bag of marijuana in “plain view” inside the diaper bag.

After Orange County deputies arrived at the scene, they came across a plastic bag containing “what appeared to be cannabis” and a handgun that was still in the diaper bag.

“Since the firearm and the cannabis was still inside of the bag, I searched the diaper bag for additional illegal items,” a deputy explained in the police report according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Besides firearms being banned at Disney World locations, Smith allegedly doesn’t have a permit to carry concealed weapons. In addition, it was later confirmed that the substance she carried, weighing a total of fewer than 20 grams, was indeed marijuana.

The mother, who was released from Orange County Jail two days after her arrest, is facing misdemeanor charges for possession of drugs and concealed weapon without a permit and is set to be arraigned on August 19.
