Mother Goose Asked Help From A Police Officer To Save Her Baby


Time to time animals keep proving they are not just a bunch of brainless creatures.

They know how to help themselves and how to get help. Be it a pet animal or a wild one; both have their different ways and acts. Pets show their creative acts, and the wild ones show how they use their brain to survive. Both know and understand their surroundings.

Cincinnati Police Department’s officer James Givens is in the job for 25 years now and had a similar kind of experience. A goose came pecking at his car door while he was out patrolling in his car.

James thought the goose wanted food, but the matter was something else. Goose kept pecking at the door. James did not understand the goose’s intention.

The goose started walking away but also kept looking back like she is checking on James if he is coming or not. James went behind her and found she needed help with her baby.

Her baby duckling got trapped. It got its leg tangled in a balloon string.

James wanted to help her but got scared that the mother duck will hurt him if he goes near the duckling. To help him out the situation, he called SPCA who were not having any rescuer available.

Officer Cecilia Charron, who was James’s co-worker, heard the radio call and came to help. Without fearing the goose, she went in, untangled the baby and came back.

James said he had never experienced something so unique in his entire career.
