The final photo of a mother who tragically died when she fell from her fourth-floor apartment shows her hugging a gift she received from her daughter.
51-year-old Sharon Anne Daly-O’Dwyer had been spending Christmas Day with her loved ones at her flat in London when the tragic incident happened.
According to her family, she had left the room to “go for a smoke” when she accidentally fell.
Her family rushed outside to help the mother-of-two and contacted emergency services but paramedics’ attempts to save her failed.
Police have confirmed that her death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called on Christmas Day at 10.04am to reports of an incident at White City Estate, Australia Road, W12.
“We sent resources including an ambulance, medics in response cars, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer.
“Sadly, despite our efforts a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Speaking to the Mirror, the mother’s grieving daughter, Taylor, 22, said: “She was really happy with her presents.
“She said she was going to go back to bed before making dinner but would just have a cigarette.”
Taylor added: “We were inside for two minutes when we heard a bang. I ran down to try and help her but it was pretty obvious she had died, she wasn’t breathing and her eyes were open.”
The grieving family set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for the Ms. Daly-O’Dwyer’s funeral.
“It’s with such a heavy heart and eyes full of tears I’m having to even begin writing this,” the family wrote on the page.
“I am appealing to all friends, family and everyone who’s heart Sharon touched, or anyone’s pint she pulled.”
The family added: “We are raising as much money as we can to help Taylor and Drew and the rest of her family pay for a beautiful send off and funeral she deserves.
“Sharon was such a beautiful, fun, loving and amazing woman, everyone who knew her, loved her and always had such a good time with her!
“We can’t even put into words what the world will be like without her and her beautiful children and grandson will continue her memory and make her even more proud than they have already.
“Sharon I love you like a second mum and will always do everything I can for Taylor and Drew.”
