A mother from Florida was left heartbroken after her daughter’s image was stolen and turned into a sex doll.
The item was being sold on Amazon and other adult sites for $559.
Terri said a friend sent her a message on August 12 informing her of the item that resembled her 8-year-old daughter.
The furious mother told the Child Rescue Coalition: “I read the message from my friend and saw the image, and I instantly started to cry uncontrollably.
“I couldn’t imagine that some sicko would use my daughter’s photo to create something so ugly and evil to be used for abuse by pedophiles.”
The doll was described as ‘high quality sexy dolly live dolls for men.’
Terri’s daughter, who suffers from Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID), is a pageant contestant and a child model.
The mother said she had posted some pictures of her daughter in a group on Facebook where she gives updates on her illness, modeling work, and community projects.
Terri believes the item was produced after a photo of her daughter was shared in the group as the doll had the same hairstyle, outfit and pose as her daughter’s.
“This image had the same socks as my daughter and the same pose as my daughter on our sofa at home. She had that same sweatshirt and facial features as that image, even the same stuffed animal!” Terri expressed.
“And I was in shock that Amazon would sell an inappropriate child sex doll on their website. I asked myself how can this be legal in the United States?”
The item has since been removed from Amazon.
Amazon said in a statement: “All sellers must follow our selling guidelines and those who do not will be subject to action including potential removal of their account. This product has been removed.”
While the item is no longer on Amazon, the mother said she has found it on other adult websites where it has videos of people explaining how it should be used.
“I can’t sleep sometimes because that’s all I can think about, men who have sex with those dolls, and I can’t get them back. I just want to burn them,” she said.
“They should be charged as sex offender. They should be fined. And these websites need to be shut down.”
