An Australian mother was trolled for buying her two-year-old daughter a make-up cabinet with fake makeup for her birthday.
The two-year-old loved her mother’s make-up cabinet and would always try to play with them so the mother decided to give her a make-up cabinet for her birthday so she can play with her own makeup.
The mother shared a picture of the miniature make-up cabinet with a mirror, furry stool, rug, and empty bottles of the nail paints on Facebook with the caption: “My hack on the vanity for my two-year-old’s birthday”.
Little did she know, this will not go down well with some of the Internet users as they started criticizing the mother for giving her two-year-old a make-up cabinet.
The Internet users said the gift is inappropriate for a two-year-old and left negative comments on the post.
After receiving the backlash, the mother hit back at troll saying the makeup is fake and she just wanted her to stop her from ruining her own makeup.
She wrote: “The make-up is fake, it’s empty bottles and (glitter) fabric. My little girl goes straight to my make-up draw at least two times a day.”
“This gives her, her own pretend play – cheap brushes that I don’t mind her ruining instead of mine.”
The mother urged everyone to be kind to each other as we are already living in a world with enough hate.
After the mother gave a befitting reply to her trolls, some came forward to support the mother and said they loved the idea and there’s nothing wrong in giving a child fake makeup.
One woman urged everyone to stop putting the mother down who just wanted to give her daughter fake make-up for pretend play.
While another said she also gave the same makeup cabinet to her two-year-old as she loved hairdressing and playing with makeup.
