Mother Arrested For Letting Her 10-Year-Old Son Get A Tattoo From Dirty Needle

Nikki Dickinson is a 34-year-old mother from Ohio who let her 10-year-old son get a tattoo from a dirty needle and got arrested after sharing the video of the process on social media.

According to the reports, Nikki from Bellefontaine, Ohio, was taken into custody last Friday and is now facing charges of child endangerment.

Not only did she allow her son to get tattooed, but she also requested a minor, 16-year-old Kyle Richardson, to do the tattooing in unsanitary conditions at his home.

In the video she shared on social media, Nikki’s friend, Justice Oyer, is seen holding and comforting the boy during the process. Unlike Nikki, Justice wasn’t charged.

According to the police, Dickinson claims that she only agreed to get her son tattooed because he was nagging her for a tattoo for a long time and she was already “tired” of it.

As for the teenage tattoo ‘artist’ who came up with the horrible tattoo, ABC said the police revealed that he has a history of misconduct. Allegedly, he once gave one of his customers MRSA from a dirty needle. And so, the 16-year-old was charged with not following sanitary and safety guidelines.

According to the Ohio State law, minors can get tattooed with their parents’ consent. However, they are only allowed to do so in a controlled business environment that meets health and safety standards.

Contributing to her charge of juvenile delinquency was the fact that the mother filmed the incident, shared it online, and appeared to have pressured him to go through with the process.

If convicted of the first-degree misdemeanor, the mother might face up to 6 months in jail while the tattoo ‘artist’ in question was charged with two juvenile delinquency counts and is being charged as a minor.

While Justice didn’t explain why she helped her friend go through with the process, her mother responded to the criticism on Facebook by saying:

“Justice made a bad choice by being involved with it but she did nothing else wrong… but really this child is not abused nor neglected.

“Does his mother make bad decisions? Yes. But when you got people beating up old people and people actually abusing their kids no one says nothing.”
