Air Force Member’s Mother Left A Note On The Stranger’s Receipt “I Can’t Buy My Son Breakfast So I Bought Yours”


One mother was overwhelmed when a stranger lady paid for her son’s breakfast and the reason behind this kind and selfless gesture was truly heartwarming.

A woman named Heidi Goforth from Tennessee claimed that she was buying breakfast for her son at a McDonald’s in Tennessee when the cashier told her that somebody has already paid for it.

Heidi said that the woman in front of her made a payment and the reason for this sweet gesture was even sweeter. According to the note written on the receipt, the woman who paid for the breakfast is the mother of a member of the Air Force. Since she couldn’t treat her own son to breakfast, so she decided to buy it for the person behind her who was Heidi’s son.

The note reads: “My son is in the Air Force. I can’t buy his breakfast so I bought yours. Have a blessed day.”

Heidi decided to tell people about the kind gesture of the stranger lady and made a post on Facebook along with the photo of the receipt.

She wrote: “Good morning! I just had this happen to me. It touched my heart so much! I was buying breakfast for my son at McDonald’s and the sweet lady in front of me, in the drive-thru, paid for my meal. I pray that you see your son soon! He’s lucky to have a mom that loves him so much! God bless you and him! Tell him ‘thank you’ for his service.”

Caryn Scherm Hill, a Facebook user claimed that the Air Force mom, saw the post and replied, “It was my pleasure. Kindness can create such a wave of emotion. How extra special that you were getting breakfast for your son!”

“I briefly saw it when I woke but had to run to work,” 

“My husband texted me the news clip while I was working [the] night shift. I cried like a baby when I read the comments from you and others! Not an hour goes by that we don’t think of our son. He is going to laugh when he reads this.”
