Morrisons is thanking its staff for their hard work during the coronavirus outbreak by providing them with increased bonuses.
This means that over the 52-week period, the staff will earn a 6% bonus on their respective wages.
This bonus applies to all kinds of employees, including full-time, part-time, temporary and even the ones who are sick or self-isolating. The employees who do not work on the shop floor are also eligible for this bonus.
The company pays bonuses to the employees every quarter, so you will have to work for a minimum of three months to be able to qualify for the bonus.
Moreover, to get an annual bonus, you need to work as a Morrisons’ employee for 12 months; however, the bonuses are still paid in chunks of three months. This means you do not have to wait for the whole year to get it.
The quarters of Morrisons come in February, May, August, and November. In order to avail of the bonus, you have to start at the beginning of each quarter and work for three months to get the payout.
From this month, the workers are being paid Euro 9.20 per hour, and the full-time staff is working 36.75 hours in a week.
The salaried managers of Morrisons who are not working on an hourly wage basis will also be provided with a bonus that will double their annual bonus amount.
The bonus will also be paid to them on a quarterly basis. As of now, there is no clear number with regard to the bonus that managers will be getting.
The group people director at Morrisons, Clare Grainger, said that their employees have shown their strengths and stood brave amidst the coronavirus pandemic and continues to play their part in feeding the country.
The company appreciates the effort put in by its staff and they will be rewarded accordingly.
