Morbidly Obese Woman Who Was Bed-bound For Three Years Started Walking On Her Own Again After Losing 600 Pounds


A Morbidly obese woman who was bedbound for three years has lost a massive 42 stone 5lbs.

Mother-of-five Milla Clark, 51 from Fayetteville, Tennessee, weighed 53.6 stone, was completely immobile and said every day of her life was ‘miserable’. The woman was depended on her children to wash her every morning and said it was ‘humiliating.’

She was not even able to walk on her own over 13 years and her kids were taking care of her to make sure that she didn’t develop an infection.

The 51-year-old was not able to visit her husband in hospital prior to his death.

But Milla became the most successful patient on TLC’s My 600lb Life after slimming down to 11 stone.

Speaking at the time, Milla said: “Every single day of my life is miserable.’’

“I have been trapped in these four walls for more than two years. During that time, I have not stood one time. All I can do is eat and sleep.’’

“It is such a humiliating thing. Children their age shouldn’t have to take care of their parents.”

She was struggling with her weight since the age of three and after completing high school she fell in love and married Elroy who has passed away now.

Milla gave birth to her first child soon after their marriage but it was risky to have more children so the couple decided to adopt four kids.

More than three years ago, her transformation began, when she reached out to weight loss expert Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, who put her on a weight loss plan.

When Milla was able to stand on her own, she underwent weight loss surgery and several subsequent skin removal surgeries.

After three years of struggle, dedication and several operations, she reached her target weight of 155lbs, having lost an incredible 42 stone.
