Monkeys are smart animals and they are the closest to humans when it comes to intelligence.
Monkeys are so much like humans and they understand how to react on so many things.
An incident that happened in Baleshwar Temple which is situated in Sikar, Rajasthan in India. In the incident, it was because of the monkeys that the poor animal could be saved.

Wondering what is it all about? Behind the temple Baleshwar, there is a well that is 25ft. although the water level of the well has gone down, there is still enough water to drown someone. This is what made the monkeys really upset as they found a leopard stuck and drowning in the well.
Several monkeys gathered around the well and you could see on their faces how worried they were.
People visiting the temple and a few locals decided to take a look at what had happened to keep the monkeys occupied. This is when they looked inside the well and could see a pair of eyes staring back.
It was dark and they could hardly see the leopard but managed somehow. The poor animal had fallen in the well and was stuck inside.
People decided to take him out without the help of wildlife officers as it could have taken them very long to arrive.
They got a very tall ladder and carefully placed it inside the well. As the ladder went inside, the people gathered around gave space for the leopard to climb up and get out of the well.
He came out all frightened and ran away. The people were happy and cheered as they rescued the animal.
If it was not for the monkey, the leopard would have drowned in the well and people would have never found it out either.
