A mom from Wednesbury, West Mids, has spent an enormous £1,000 ($1,250) on her 11-year-old daughter’s primary school prom to make her feel special on the occasion.

Leah’s mom, who is a teaching student, and dad, who is a wielder, spent the whopping amount on their daughter’s dress and accessories – just to make the day monumental for her.

They even arranged a horse and carriage for Leah when they came to know that she didn’t want to go in a Limo.

The young girl was provided with just everything she wanted.

Her parents also arranged a professional hairstylist, a makeup artist, and a nail-artist so that Leah could look gorgeous on one of the most memorable days of her life.

Besides these expenses, Leah also bought a Pandora charm worth, decked out with accessories. Leah’s mom Jennifer, 35, and dad Dean, 34, revealed that they were not bothered at all by their lovely daughter’s unlimited demands.

Jennifer, who’s normally a spendthrift mom, went all out to claim that Leah deserved what they had forked out on her.

“My older daughter didn’t want to go to her prom, Leah was distraught that Katelyn wasn’t going because she wanted to see her in a special dress,” the mother-of-three said.

“When Leah found out about year six prom she nearly fell over in excitement, she couldn’t wait.

“I can’t really say no to her, I’m really soft on her so within reason she’ll always get the things she wants.

“We went to the shops and tried on some children’s dresses, I could see in her face that she did not like them, when she tried on a special adult dress her face lit up.

“She wanted everything to be done properly, her nails, hair, make-up and dress and I don’t see why she shouldn’t be allowed those things if we can provide it for her.”

Jennifer added: “She didn’t want to go in a limo like the other kids and I knew that she wanted a horse and carriage, it’s every little girl’s dream so we managed to get hold of one.

“She’s a girly girl so this sort of event is perfect for her, as soon as we picked her up from school on the day our first stop was her professional make-over.”

Leah was over the moon after her prom went exactly as she wanted.

She said: “I had been looking forward to this night for ages and it was perfect, mom and dad really made me feel special.

“My hair and makeup were amazing and I wish I could wear my dress every day!”

However, a number of people have criticized Jennifer for spending too much on just year-6 prom.

People are critiquing that the woman is spoiling her 11-year-old daughter who, in the words of Jennifer, “always gets the things she wants.”

Responding to critics, Jennifer said it is not extravagance if they can afford to get their girl what she wished for.

“I know there’s an argument between parents about whether or not large amounts of money should be spent on proms, but I figure that if I can get her what she wants then I don’t see the harm in pulling out all the stops for her,” she said.

“These days are special for children, and girls more so because they get to become the princess they have spent years seeing in the Disney films.

“We spent what we could, and we didn’t go without to be able to give her this special day, and I know how much she enjoyed it so it was worth every penny.

“I think the important thing was that my little girl got to have the day she envisioned in her head and I wanted to make it a reality for her.”

“She had a really lovely time, and I’m sure she’ll be talking about it for a long time to come so in the end I think it was all worth it,” she concluded.
