30, Brandy Lancaster was driving fast down the highway with her 20-month-old son in the backseat. The little boy had been sick after being diagnosed with croup and strep throat. Also, he had hit his head on the floor of a restaurant when Brandy fell while holding him in her arms.

When the baby woke up with fever by Monday morning, he started throwing up. On their way to the ER, the little boy threw up again, and he suddenly began to choke. The worried mother knew that she had to get him to the emergency room as fast as she could.

Brandy was speeding at 90-100 mph with flashers on when she saw a strange car following her. Even so, she kept driving to the hospital. As soon as she parked the vehicle, the stranger who had been tailing her also jumped out of the car.

It turns out that the stranger who was following her was a nurse, and she knew that the mother was hurrying to the hospital. She rushed over to the 20-month-old baby, who was unresponsive and started medical treatment.

She posted on Facebook about the brave nurse, saying that she hopes she may come across it and step forward. “Nurse, that baby needed you tonight & you pulled through for him, without knowing what the situation entailed,” Brandy wrote.

I never got your name nor do I recall expressing to you just how very thankful I am for everything you did and that you cared enough to help. Lord knows, his Mommy was a wreck & was not making much sense. You acted on your instinct when you definitely did not have to & for that myself and my entire family is forever grateful.”
