A mother of a 4-year-old girl has spoken out about her ex’s new girlfriend after seeing how she treats her daughter when she is not around.
Audrey Nicole met her ex-partner, Corey Henry, when the two were 18 years old. Following their engagement, the couple gave birth to a beautiful 4-year-old girl named Riley.
In time, however, a blend of personal differences brought Audrey and Corey to the point where they felt it was best to separate. While Audrey gained full custody of the child, Corey still remains involved in the raising of their daughter.
As it happens, Audrey also helped Riley understand the life of a mixed family after Corey got a new girlfriend. Rather than attempting to pull Riley away from her stepmother, Audrey encouraged the girl to love her stepmom and the two struck an amazing bond following Audrey’s advice.
Sharing the picture of her daughter’s mother-in-law, Audrey surprised the internet with her touching open letter that reads:
“This is my daughter’s father’s girlfriend. The sweetest thing ever! I’m super thankful for her because when she visits her dad she feeds her, takes care of her, buys her gifts, and basically takes care of her like her own.
“Why do all these moms act so spiteful and jealous towards the other women? NO ONE said it was easy trying to be a mother to a kid you didn’t have. So when there is someone trying, don’t push them away! Because they DON’T need the drama they WILL leave and then you’re stuck with someone who is the evil step mom.
“Yes they exist! I see them everywhere! A kid can have two moms because in my eyes the more people that love her I’m happy! I would never make her feel like an outsider; I’m extremely thankful for this girl.
“Ladies, grow up and focus on being a good mom. Love more hate less!”
Audrey’s post soon went viral with thousands of people applauding Audrey for acting in the best interest of her young daughter.
