A model was trolled after she claimed she has a badge that can kill viruses within several meters.
Ekaterina Koba, from Belarus, showed a badge she was wearing In an Instagram video and told her fans that it’s a “virus blocker” and it can kill viruses within several meters.
The 31-year-old said in the video: “Everyone is asking me what kind of badge I have hanging around my neck.”
“This is a virus blocker, it works within several meters.”
She said the “virus blocker” badge is really hard to find and there are more to be used at homes.
As soon as she posted the video, Internet users started mocking the model for claiming her badge could kill the viruses.
Some called her ‘silly’ while some wondered how can someone believe in such things.
After being trolled by Instagram users, Ekaterina hit back at trolls by sharing a post.
She said she has not been advertising anything so there’s no need for negativity. She said she didn’t share a link to the product, neither she forced anyone to buy it.
She said: “Why would so many people be so negative here – I did not advertise anything, I did not share any direct links where one could buy it.”
She told it was a gift from a friend who also gave her medical masks and antiseptics to protect herself during coronavirus pandemic.
She also claimed the “virus blocker” badge is sold in pharmacies.
She said: “This blocker was presented to me by one of my close friends together with medical masks and antiseptics to take care of myself during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The video that Ekaterina posted claiming the badge can kill viruses within several meters has now been deleted.
