British Playboy model Lora Drammis has revealed her horrifying experience of a 170mph tornado after nearly escaping death.
The 30-year-old told she was alone at her home with her dog Araya when she was caught in a 170mph tornado that occurred in Nashville, Tennessee last month.
The tornado ripped the roof off her house and threw Lora and her dog across the floor.
Just minutes before the tornado hit, Lora received a message from her friend who had asked her to “hide”.
Lora described the night as “the most frightening experience of her life”.
When Lora heard the tornado warning sirens, she picked up her dog and went to the bath.
She said: “It sounded like a nuclear bomb had gone off. The whole thing was terrifying. I picked up my dog to get in the bath — because that’s where they say is the safest place.”
However, when she went to open her bedroom door, the tornado threw her across the floor and started pushing the door with her feet to close it.
She felt as if the door would fall on top of her and her dog. She said it lasted about 30 seconds in total.
She described the horrific night: “All my windows smashed at once. It was the most frightening experience of my life.”
“I was screaming. I thought everyone else on my street was dead. I was in my pyjamas and there was glass everywhere. My car was wrecked.”
She told had she opened the bedroom door, she would have been there and her bedroom was the most damaged place in her house due to the tornado.
Lora, who is currently staying at her friend’s house, is not planning to move out of Nashville.
She said: “My life was saved by not going through it. My community is the most beautiful place.”
