At around 2 pm, the father-of-three allegedly disappeared without a trace after telling his family that he was about to take a shower.

As Dateline NBC reported, Cory’s mother realized her son was gone when she checked on him. While the 32-year-old took his cellphone and wallet with him, he allegedly left behind his shoes.

According to the father’s aunt, Sherri Galvin, Cory most likely left on foot because he didn’t have a car.

“We’re left with a lot of question marks at this point. It’s just very frustrating and we’re extremely worried about him. We’re all just barely hanging on,” she told Dateline NBC.

“It just doesn’t make any sense. He’s never just walked off. And he’s always stayed in contact with his kids, his sister, his mom, me – someone.”

As Sherri told the outlet, the family believes that some people the 32-year-old had been messaging could be connected to his disappearance.

“He had struggled lately and sometimes ended up in bad situations. But he didn’t deserve this. He was turning his life around and deserved a second chance,” the aunt added.

Taking to Facebook to plead for help, Sherri urged people to change their profile picture to the photo of Cory along with a hotline number.

“We want the people responsible to see this everywhere they look. We want them to feel the shame and the long reaching effects of their cowardly actions every time they log on,” she wrote.
