We think perfect body, height, smile, fair skin tone makes a woman beautiful, is that true? No.

The Missguided brand started a campaign with the hashtag #KEEPONBEINGYOU to encourage people to focus on their individuality and not to try to be like everyone else. But they are not only providing beautiful and interesting clothes but also decided to help women feel more confident in their stores. And their idea is simple and incredible.

Every woman is special and has a bright personality with her unique features. And there is no longer a reason to be shy about who you are.

Their interesting campaign includes some unusual mannequins, and they are completely different from what we see in many stores that promote perfect bodies that we have become accustomed to. Namely, they are completely the opposite of the unattainable ideal but reflect what real women encounter in their everyday lives.

They have mannequins with vitiligo, stretch marks, freckles, and even those in hijab. And all of these things are real examples of beauty that should not be hidden or that women should not be ashamed of. You don’t need to have snow-white skin, no wrinkles, or a model-perfect body to be beautiful and gorgeous.

Missguided mannequins idea is appreciable and they want this to support women and help them to not be shy about their body. Each wrinkle and each birthmark makes them unique. In their way, and still makes them beautiful.

Last year, a study from the University of Liverpool’s Institute of Psychology, Health, and Society reported that the average female mannequin in UK clothing stores was equivalent to a ‘severely underweight’ woman.

“Ultra-thin ideals encourage the development of body image problems in young people. We need to change the environment to reduce the emphasis on the value of extreme thinness,” said Dr. Eric Robinson, who was involved in the study.

And the fact is that this is exactly what women need, according to numerous positive comments from users on Twitter.
