Miss Teen USA Kaliegh Garris was not present during the girls’ night. But she accompanied Tunzi and Kryst the next day when visiting the Good Morning America studios to talk about their wins.

Tunzi shared a picture of herself with Kryst and Garris and wrote, ‘Queens all around.’ ABC News’ Lindsey Davis interviewed the three pageant queens for a segment that will air on Good Morning America Friday.

Franklin could not attend the GMA interview as she is set to compete in the Miss World Competition on December 14. Tunzi says that winning the title of Miss Universe was a big moment for her as she had not seen any women who looked like her on the pageant stage when growing up.

‘I grew up in a world where a woman who looks like me — with my kind of skin and my kind of hair — was never considered to be beautiful,’ she said. ‘I think it is time that stops today. I want children to look at me and see my face, and I want them to see their faces reflected in mine.’

She also expressed her excitement and joy of winning the title on social media writing, ‘May every little girl who witnessed this moment forever believe in the power of her dreams and may they see their faces reflected in mine. I am #MissUniverse2019.’
