At just 29 inches tall, Indi is about the size of a Great Dane.

The horses are owned by 53-year-old Ali Thorn who thought to surprise her elderly neighbor with a visit from the adorable horses.

Because of her age, Bunty Orchard, 95, can’t get out much. So it was with great delight that she found the horses at her doorstep in her Kippen, Stirlingshire, home. She enthusiastically fed them carrots and marveled at the glittery harnesses.

Her birthday was actually on December 3 but has had six birthday parties in her honor. The villagers call her the “Queen of Kippen” and is well-beloved.

To show just how highly the villagers think of Bunty, it takes 40 minutes to walk to her home. With Ali was her friend Sue Hewett, 49.

Bunty, a great-great-grandmother-of-three, said: “I have been having so many surprises since my birthday.”

Ali added: “You are like the Queen, having a birthday party every day.”

Ali keeps the horses as pets on her farm, Ambeg Farm Stay, in Kippen.

Ali said: “They were donated to me from a wildlife center, they were needing a home.

“They have got humongous coats so they don’t need rugs in winter.

“Everybody thinks they are Shetland ponies because they are so tiny.

“Indi is just 29 inches tall, the size of a Great Dane.

“The horses don’t really mind being dressed up, they only wear clothing for seeing Bunty.”

“I have had so many birthday parties, I think the village is wonderful.

“I’ve had six parties – the neighborhood kids came round to my house for a party.

“I’ve lived here since I was three days old.

“I’ve ended up with four Christmas jumpers, I’ve been wearing them alternatively.

“I felt like saying ‘would you like a clothes peg to keep your hats on?”
