A 72-year-old multi-millionaire aristocrat caused outrage when he announced that he was looking for a young wife and ‘breeder.
’ He is still single since the announcement last year, and now he sweetened the deal by promising free reign over his credit cards.
Sir Benjamin Slade first announced the search in 2017 on This Morning, revealing what he was looking for in a woman, including that she would be aged between 30 and 40, and would be no taller than 5 feet 6 inches.
After a year of fruitless search, he tries to be less aggressive. He said: “I have changed my spiel, I now say I want romance, I want to give you my credit card so you can shop until you drop.
I want to take you to exotic places and I love gorgeous meals and I rush off on secret holidays. So that’s the sales spiel, I can change it.”
A descendant of King Charles II, Sir Benjamin lives at the 13th-century Maunsel House. He also owns Woodlands Castle. Running several businesses including a B&B and a wedding venue, he hopes that his future partner would be able to take over the management.
“If you can get a wife who is also a chief executive then it’s a deal, two for the price of one,” he expressed.
“I have been looking very hard and I’ve had lots of excitement. I’m just trying to propose a deal but a lot of people don’t want to have any more children.
I have lots of fabulous girlfriends but they are over 50 and they don’t want to or can’t have any more children.
I think it’s quite important to have children and have a family but I think it’s about time we started.”
Sir Benjamin said that his ideal ‘breeder’ should be ‘castle trained,’ possess a gun license, aged between 30 and 40, and should be no taller than 5 feet 6 inches. Despite the promise of $65,000 pocket money per year, his dream woman failed to materialize.
Now, he added that the woman would have free reign over his credit cards!
