Days after an upset vegan has spoken out in a graphic video and claimed that angry farmers chased her down and shot at her after she freed several animals from their farm, reports have suggested that she caused more harm than good.
According to the local reports from Spain, the woman ‘kidnapped’ 16 rabbits among which many were allegedly young mothers that were forced to leave their offspring behind as they were taken by militant vegan known as Mia.
As per La Vanguardia, as many as 90 bunnies had to be put down because they were left without a mother following Mia’s “rescue mission.”
Days earlier, Mia appeared covered in blood in a short video in which she alleged that farmers shot at her car window and wounded her after she freed 16 rabbits from their farm.
“This is what has just happened to us, I’m documenting the whole thing. I’m covered in blood,” Mia said in the footage.
“This is what the farmers have done. They shot through our window and chased us down the motorway. Oh my God, I’m literally covered in blood.”
In the caption of her video, Mia explained what caused the confrontation by writing:
“Today we entered a rabbit farm and rescued 16 lives. The farmer was extremely aggressive and attacked us, strangling activists and smashing their heads with metal poles.
“The police came and told us to leave peacefully, which we did. After we left the farmers chased us down the motorway. We tried to lose them down a side road but they were on our tails.
“They blocked us into a dead end and surrounded the car with five other farmers’ cars. They were banging on the windows, shouting and threatening us. We called the police who arrived after an hour.
“They diffused the situation and escorted us to a ‘safe place.’ We asked them to escort us home, but they refused and said we would be okay. They let us go and 10 minutes later back on the motorway one of their cars pulled up alongside us and shot at us.”
As the militant vegan added, she wants people to understand just “how evil farmers are” and how glad she is that she’s saved 16 lives.
After being accused of ending 90 lives by saving 16, Mia has once again spoken out and called the local reports false.
“This is false information with no evidence to back it up. We were inside that farm for less than five minutes and we only touched the rabbits who we rescued, who are all doing fine now, despite being very sick when rescued due to the filthy living conditions of that farm,” Mia said in an interview with LADbible.
“We did not leave any babies without their mothers as we only rescued young ones. We had a professional vet on-site with us the whole time.
“I would like to see the official documentation, vet report and post mortem of any of these claims, since I strongly believe that if any of the mothers were ‘forced to have abortions’ then it was definitely due to the horrific conditions they were already living in when we arrived that, thanks to us, have now been exposed.
“We have videos of a bunch of dead rabbits left to rot inside the farm and in the bin outside, who were already there when we got there. It’s clearly convenient for them to blame on us a crime that was already committed by themselves before we even arrived.
“This industry has deceived the public for far too long, I will not tolerate any more lies from them.”
