Only a few days after Miley Cyrus announced her split from Liam Hemsworth, she has now accused him of drug abuse while her husband accused her of sexual infidelity.
According to TMZ, “It started out amicable, but the breakup between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth is now in nasty territory … with claims of drug use and infidelity.”
Sources with both sides shared two different stories as to what caused them to break up. Miley claims she ‘tried valiantly to save the marriage’ despite Liam’s alleged drug abuse, but the Australian actor calls Cyrus’ claim a total lie, saying that she cheated on him.
“Sources from Liam’s side are calling BS, saying the drug and alcohol claims are designed to mask what they say really destroyed their marriage … they claim infidelity on Miley’s part,” TMZ reported
One source said to TMZ that Cyrus is just trying to make distractions from her public behavior. “This is another attempt by Miley to distract from her infidelity and recent outrageous public behavior,” said the source.
Even though the singer claimed that she tried to ‘valiantly save the marriage,’ her past comments and actions do not support the claim.
In her recent interview with Elle magazine, Cyrus referred to her marriage as ‘complex’ and ‘unique’ while admitting that she still feels a sexual attraction toward women.
“I think it’s very confusing to people that I’m married. But my relationship is unique,” Cyrus said. “And I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it’s so complex, and modern, and new that I don’t think we’re in a place where people would get it.
“I mean, do people really think that I’m at home in a f***ing apron cooking dinner?” she added. “I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women. People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still f***ing good, and I know that.
“I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don’t fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don’t even like that word.”
A representative said: “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of the animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart.
“Please respect their process and privacy.”
