The mom of two reveals a piece of advice she gave her daughter, Wyatt when she had a confrontation with a preschool bully and she says might “get (Wyatt) in trouble.”

“Well, here’s a story that’s about to get me in trouble,” Mila said. “There was a little kid in my kid’s preschool that wasn’t very kind and pushed my daughter.”

“My daughter came back and was like, such and such little kiddo pushed me,” Mila revealed. “And I instinctually said, did you push her back? And my daughter’s like, no!”

Mila then advised her daughter to fight back and push the kid back next time.

“You push her back, and you say, no, thank you, and you walk away,” she added.

After sharing the advice, the mom of two recalls “seeing Ashton’s face and he’s like, no!”

Ashton wasn’t on board with her advice. She said that he vigorously shook his head and yelled no after she made the suggestion to Wyatt.

Still, the actress stuck to her mama instincts and said: “But I was like, you stand up for yourself and say no thank you.”

“Don’t push her off of a ladder, off of a swing, or off of a slide, but on the ground, even Steven, you push ’em back,” she said.

Looking back, Mila admitted that it was not the right way to handle a preschool dispute saying: “I’d say that that’s a parenting fail.”

In another portion of the episode, Mila reveals why she doesn’t lie to her kids.

“There’s two of them,” she said. “It’s those little white lies that you want to tell one, but not tell the other.”

“It’s that instinct of, don’t tell your brother, you and I are gonna go get ice cream,” she said. “It instinctually teaches them that it’s OK to lie.”

“I’ve had to not do that, which has oddly been very hard,” she said. “We’re going to be all open, and sometimes being honest hurts people and that’s OK.”

However, when asked to reveal a “lie she recently told” her children, the star admitted that she has kept the truth about Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy hidden.

“Clearly, I’m raising them to have their little hearts broken,” she joked.

She went on to name the trait of hers that she wished she hadn’t passed down to her daughter and explained the reason why.

“My daughter is me and she is independent and feisty and wonderfully smart,” Mila said. “And it is an incredible trait to have as an adult and a really hard trait to wrangle as a kid. But she is me. She is me. She has a million answers for one question and she’s not wrong.”

As for the advice she’d give expectant parents, Mila warns: “kids are like little terrorists. Don’t negotiate with them. It’ll go nowhere.”

The couple has also sparked a debate recently with their unusual approaches to parenthood. They have ignited a worldwide conversation about celebrity bathing habits after they revealed that they don’t believe in washing their kids or themselves with soap every day.
