Optical illusions are a fun brain trick that keeps the internet entertained.
They are unique in how they trick our brain and are fun for a laugh. One popular optical illusion was the blue and gold dress where the internet couldn’t figure out if the dress was blue or gold.
One optical illusion that has recently surfaced is one posted by Mike Pence, the now Vice President-Elect, during his campaign. The photograph shows the Pence family eating out at a Chili’s in New York. The Pence family decided to take a quick dinner before continuing on the campaign trail.

Pence was excited to have some family time and quickly shared the photograph with his Twitter followers. But what Pence didn’t know was that the picture had a hidden optical illusion that would grip the internet.

Something is just off about the picture but the internet can’t figure out what it is.
If you look at the photograph you will see three people, Mike Pence, his wife and their 23 year old daughter Charlotte.
But if you look at their reflection you will see that only two people have a reflection, Mike Pence and his wife. Charlotte doesn’t appear to have a reflection at all!
This optical illusion ended up sparking a bit of controversy when some people accused Pence of being dishonest. They claimed that Pence edited the photo to have his daughter in it to appear as more of a family man. Politicians must show their love for their family for voters to like them.
Others joked about the photograph with such comments like “Sir, I don’t mean to be rude but your daughter might be a vampire, just sayin”.

Other people even noticed that the table had two plates and food and 4 glasses seemed strange for three people. The picture seemed to attract the attention of many on the internet. What was happening here? Why his daughter really edited into the photo.
Among the flurry of hateful comments directed at Pence, one person noticed that you can actually see Charlotte’s curls below Pence’s chin in the reflection. You can also see the back of her head in the reflection as well.
