A new video showing a group of migrants scaling a barrier at the US-Mexico border with the help of a rope ladder has appeared on the internet.

In the footage, a group of seven migrants can be seen waiting in turns to climb down the border wall using the rope and enter south El Paso, Texas.

The shocking video emerged on Tuesday after the White House asked for an additional $4.5 billion from Congress in emergency spending money to deal with the on-going border crisis.

In the video clip, a line of migrants including one woman can be seen taking turns to scale down the rope and enter the United States.

The Department of Health and Human Services says their resources will soon exhaust by June if they don’t receive $2.8 billion for shelter space.

‘DHS projects it will exhaust resources well before the end of the fiscal year,’ the request letter of the organization reads, as reported by the Associated Press.

‘Without additional resources, the safety and well-being of law enforcement personnel and migrants are at substantial risk.’
