Two convicted crooks, 31-year-old Jon-Ross Watson and 36-year-old Mark Goodram, have been on a four-day bender since the win in South London.

However, suspicious Camelot has refused to pay out the winnings.

The two men set off alarm bells when they contacted Lotto officials so they could claim their prize but revealed neither of them has a bank account.

Checks by Camelot showed that the winning scratchcard was purchased with a debit card – issued only with accounts.

When asked whose card it was, the two burglars named a mystery friend called John but couldn’t give his surname, contact number or address.

“Mark and me have been mates since we were little. This win’s unbelievable but we deserve the money fair and square. We were screaming in the street.

The two said they had given their ‘pal’ cash to buy the scratchcard using his debit card. However, they couldn’t give his contact number or full name as he had disappeared ‘up North.’
