Melania Trump’s ex-friend has opened up about her friendship with the former first lady and shared saucy details about Melania’s relationship with Donald Trump.
In her new book titled ‘Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship With the First Lady’, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a former adviser and ex-friend of Melania, shared exciting details about the former first couple’s married life.
Among other big revelations, the author claimed that Melania would always be the first one to call her husband after his rallies to praise him for his performance.
“I believe their way of showing affection towards one another is her telling him how wonderful and great he is,” Wolkoff claimed as she spoke out on the Hollywood Life podcast.
“She was always his first phone call, always, no matter where she was. And the first thing he’d say was: ‘Hey Baby, how’d I do?’ Like he wants her approval.”
While Melania appeared to be more distant towards the end of her husband’s presidency, Wolkoff insisted that she remained supportive of Donald despite the speculations and rumors of divorce that started circulating the internet.
“She tells him how it is but she also makes sure to elevate him and embrace what he’s doing, because that is who she is,” she added.
Wolkoff also suggested Melania and Donald were truly in love with each other despite not always showing affection in the public.
“I didn’t realize that, but when you see their eye contact and the seduction through that gaze, it’s more about that than I think anything else,” she admitted.
According to Wolkoff – who was branded dishonest by Melania after it came to light that she wrote a book about her and secretly taped some of their conversations – she decided to write a book about Melania and their friendship to show the world who the former first lady is as a person.
“Throughout the years, Melania controlled her image, created her fairytale narrative, and remained an enigma, which enabled her to play make-believe,” she said.
“I felt it my civic duty to stop protecting her and to unearth the ‘most mysterious First Lady,’ the world has ever known. By sharing my history with her, I unmasked her true identity and revealed an unvarnished portrait of a woman whose veneer I’ve stripped off, leaving nothing but an unapologetically, skin-deep woman.”
