First Lady Melania Trump Unveils 2020 White House Christmas Decorations


First lady Melania Trump has unveiled her White House Christmas decorations on Monday.

The ‘America the Beautiful’ theme featured ornaments made by children and highlights a room dedicated to frontliners as the country deals with rising Covid-19 cases.

“We salute America’s everyday heroes who serve as first responders and frontline workers. Handmade ornaments highlight the many professionals and volunteers who serve their communities with a spirit of generosity,” according to Melania’s office.

The first lady wrote on Twitter: “During this special time of the year, I am delighted to share ‘America the Beautiful’ and pay tribute to the majesty of our great Nation. Together, we celebrate this land we are all proud to call home.”

For this year, there are 62 trees, over 3,200 lights, 106 wreaths, more than 1,200 feet of garland, 150 types of floral and foliage, and more than 17,000 bows.

The Red Room is dedicated to frontline workers, with a village scene that includes a grocery store, a post office, and a hospital.

Even though her former friend and adviser Stephanie Winston Wolkoff shared an audio of the Melania asking: “Who gives a f*** about Christmas?” the East Wing said the first lady personally oversaw the décor for this year.point 300 | 1

“Mrs. Trump personally selected every detail of the holiday season at the White House, celebrating this land we are all proud to call home,” according to her office.

The decorations also featured a Kennedy-themed tree, with ornaments featuring sailboats and a portrait of President John F. Kennedy.

Melania Trump’s office said: “To preserve the White House for the American people, first lady Jacqueline Kennedy established the ‘People’s House’ as a living museum and laid the foundation for expanding the diversity of the collection.
