A Royal insider claimed that Meghan Markle slammed the door in her sister-in-law’s face when the Duchess of Cambridge came to apologize.
In the tell-all interview with Oprah, the Duchess of Sussex claimed that Kate Middleton made her cry over the flower girl dresses before the Royal Wedding.
In November 2018, there were reports about how Meghan made Kate cry over her demands for Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid’s dress.
The Duchess of Sussex told Oprah that she was actually the one who was left in tears, adding “everyone in the institution knew that wasn’t true” but nobody tried to correct it.
“There wasn’t a confrontation and I don’t think it’s fair to her to get into the details of that because she apologized, and I have forgiven her,” she told Oprah.
“What was hard to get over was being blamed for something that not only I didn’t do, but that happened to me,” Meghan added.
A source told to The Telegraph this week that Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress for the Royal Wedding in 2018 did not fit properly, which meant they had to schedule fittings ahead of the ceremony.
A Royal insider also told The Times that Kate’s peace offering at Nottingham College was immediately rejected the next day.
The newspaper reported that Meghan slammed the door in Kate’s face when she apologized with a bouquet of flowers.
Meghan said that she had hoped her sister-in-law “would have wanted that to be corrected”, adding “she is a good person” and that she had already “forgiven her.”
The Buckingham Palace released a statement after the Oprah interview, saying: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.
“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning.
“While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”
It adds: “Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”
