The Duchess of Sussex is in the news again and it appears that she and Prince Harry have struck another striking deal with Netflix this time around.
The 39-year-old recently revealed how she is currently working on her new project that is reportedly based upon an animated series that includes her life. Yes, you heard that right, the show will be about Meghan herself and will also focus on a number of other influential women from history.
The new deal is part of a lucrative project with the site which many fans and followers can’t help but anticipate for its release.
Both the Duchess of Sussex and Netflix confirmed the news recently, explaining how the show will revolve around the great adventures of a young girl named Pearly, which is supposedly the origin of Meghan’s name too in Welsh.
The Duchess of Sussex released a statement to the public recently where she confirmed how the show is about a heroine that is on the road to ‘self-discovery’ while trying to overcome all of life’s daily challenges along the way.
Meghan Markle will now only serve as the show’s creator but will also be the executive producer for the animated series. This is a joint project with Elton John’s 58-year-old husband, David Furnish, she went on to confirm.
This will reportedly mark the second project by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as a deal with Netflix. In total, it has been estimated to be worth a staggering $100 million.
Meghan Markle hopes the show will bring to light great respect for influential women while inspiring so many females around the globe. She also hopes that her efforts in playing the lead role will help provide greater insight into the ‘kind character’ that is all set to appear on people’s television screens.
