Meghan Markle Emailed Palace ‘To Finally Set The Record Straight About Me’ After Kate Middleton Flower Girl Row, Omid Scobie Claims

Meghan Markle’s biographer Omid Scobie has shared an alleged email she sent to the Kensington Palace.

The resurfaced email highlights how the Royal Family did nothing to stop the rumors that the unsupported Duchess of Sussex had made Kate cry.

In the email shared by royal editor-at-large Scobie, Meghan demands aides release a statement that it was actually Kate Middleton who left her in tears during a bridesmaid dress fitting.

Scobie said that the couple’s frustration with officials increased when they were ‘urgently requested’ by the Palace to sign off on a statement that Prince William was not bullying Harry and Meghan before they decided to quit as senior royals.

“Well, if we’re just throwing any statement out there now, then perhaps KP can finally set the record straight about me (not making Kate cry),” the Duchess of Sussex allegedly emailed to one of her trusted aides.

Scobie said that she asked why her side of the story was never considered important, US magazine Harper’s Bazaar reported.

“But, as with many requests made by the couple, her suggestion was ignored,” Scobie wrote. “The Duchess of Cambridge, she was told, should never be dragged into idle gossip.”

In 2018, reports claimed that Meghan had made Kate cry during a fitting for Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.

But the Duchess of Sussex told Oprah that it was the other way around.

In Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah, the Duchess says: “The truth? The reverse happened. A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something – yes, the issue was correct, about the flower girl dresses – and it made me cry and it really hurt my feelings.”

“Everyone in the institution knew it wasn’t true,” she expressed.

“So why didn’t somebody just say that?” Oprah asked, to which Meghan replied: “That’s a good question.”

Meghan also said that the Duchess of Cambridge apologized and gave her a bunch of flowers.
