Meghan Markle DEVASTATED After Failing To Enter Top 50 Bestsellers List

Meghan Markle has failed to enter the top 50 list for bestsellers with her first children’s book, which is titled ‘The Bench’.

The storybook is reportedly inspired by a poem that the Duchess of Sussex wrote for her husband Prince Harry as an ode to his first Father’s Day. This was just one month after little Archie entered into the couple’s lives.

Priced at around 13 pounds, the book is known to explore the wonderfully special bond present between a father and a son, as it is depicted through the eyes of a mother.

While the book did manage to become one of the UK’s best-selling picture-themed storybooks after it was released on the 8th of June, it failed to actually reach the overall Top 50 list.

Now, experts claim that the book might have the potential of making more money by getting sold worldwide in both English as well as a number of other languages too.

In the United Kingdom, the book only managed to sell just 3,212 copies during its first week. And that’s because it was beaten down badly by a self-help guide launched by star footballer Marcus Rashford.

This book, titled ‘You are a Champion’ sold nearly 10,564 copies, which is nearly three times the amount sold by Meghan Markle’s venture, ‘The Bench.’

Some critics did mention how the book didn’t quite meet the expectations that many had hoped for. After all, it was something that many reading experts anticipated for quite some time. On the other hand, many critics were quick to reveal how most storybooks don’t usually do too well generally, keeping in mind past trends.

And even if the writer is Meghan Markle, there’s not much that can be done or said about this. But the fact that the publishing house carries full rights to distribute the book in an array of different languages, many predict it can still manage to make a fortune with global sales.
