Cornor McGregor Praises Trump As A “Phenomenal President” On The Martin Luther King Jr Day Support Show


On Monday, Conor McGregor, the famous Ultimate Fighting Championship star, took to Twitter to support President Trump, who was celebrating his three-year anniversary since he was sworn into office.

The UFC superstar hailed Donald Trump as ‘Phenomenal President’ and this happened just after a week when he beat Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in a fight that lasted for almost 40 seconds.

On Monday Trump tweeted and wrote, ‘It was exactly three years ago today, January 20, 2017, that I was sworn into office. So appropriate that today is also MLK jr DAY. African-American Unemployment is the LOWEST in the history of our Country, by far. Also, best Poverty, Youth, and Employment numbers, ever. Great!’

Nevertheless, according to CNBC, the Labor Department reported black and Hispanic unemployment at record lows in October.

But McGregor certainly did like Mr. President’s tweet, so took it to his social media to show his support for him. The famous boxer wrote, “Most certainly one of them anyway, as he sits atop the shoulders of many amazing giants that came before him. No easy feet. Early stages of the term also. Incredible. Congrats and Happy Martin Luther King Jr. day America.”

The president was evidently pleased to receive the approval seal from McGregor, and he replied by congratulating the boxer. In response to the UFC superstar’s tweet, Mr. President wrote: “Congratulations on your big UFC win”.

Even though McGregor’s tweet has been retweeted more than 28,000 times, yet the superstar is also being criticized by a lot of his fans.

His supporters were divided with some thanking the Irishman for expressing his convictions in their responses to the posting while others are criticizing him for showing his support to Trump.

One of his fans wrote, “These are the words of a man who has been hit in the head many, many, many times” while the other one expressed his anger by saying, “Please tell me you got f * * * * * * hacked”.

But some fans did feel happy to hear the fighter sharing his political beliefs. One of the fans wrote ‘ Wow! The first athlete/celebrity to actually have the courage to praise Trump! ‘ Another fan also felt quite happy after seeing this tweet and wrote, “And just like that I like Conor even more”.

McGregor has gained quite a fame after beating Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 on Saturday night in just 40 seconds. It was his first mixed martial arts victory since 2016. It looks like Mr. President and the UFC boxer have formed a belated mutual admiration society but let’s see what will happen in the coming days.
