Matthew McConaughey Talks To His Father’s Dead Spirit


Matthew McConaughey has maintained in an interview that he tends to have his late father’s ‘spirit alive’ as he converses with his departed spirit.

The sensationally talented actor, who turned 50 this year, his motto and philanthropic inclinations originated from the attitude he developed for his father’s death. He has survived the challenging times by keeping it to himself that there’s nothing that can’t be made ‘better’.

‘In 1992, I was five days into shooting Dazed and Confused’and I got a phone call that my father had passed on,’ he told in an interview with the magazine Town & Country.point 426 |

‘I drove to Houston to be with my family.point 39 | I was with them for five days, and they told me to get back to work.point 92 | The first night back, I was walking around and it hit me that my father was no longer here, but I could still keep his spirit alive if I talked aloud to him.point 217 |

Speaking to Town & Country Magazine’s annual Philanthropy Issue, he said: ‘I always knew I wanted it to be kids, because I wanted the entire foundation to provide prevention before we needed a cure.point 313 |

He showed his love and undivided attention to his wife, who is 12 years younger than him, saying: ‘From the snicker that my wife’s giving me, it seems that I’m more consistently the yes guy. She’s probably right,’ he admitted.
