A Marvel super-fan has set a new record by watching Avengers: Endgame an unbelievable 128 times.

Marvel fans have always been a truly dedicated bunch, but Agustin Alanis has taken things to a completely different level.

If you do a bit of calculation, the guy spent a whopping 384 hours watching just one single movie.

While most of us find it hard to sit three hours straight even for the first round, the 30-year-old seemingly cannot get enough of Robert Downey Jr. and company.

However, the reason behind his insane act is a little more than just his love for the Endgame.

Alanis, from Riverview, Florida, was trying to break the current world record for the ‘most cinema productions attended for the same film.’

Taking to Twitter, Guinness World Records revealed that the current record is held by Anthony Mitchell, from North Carolina, who watched Avengers: Infinity War 103 times.

It means, Alanis, who works in his family-owned construction business, may have already become a record breaker.

“I wasn’t planning to try and break [the world record] to begin with,” he told Cnet.

“But I had watched it every day since it came out for two weeks, and just like the movie shattered records, I decided to do it as well.”

He said: “I go twice on weekdays, and on Saturday and Sunday four to five times, which is the most I can because of the movie being three hours and two minutes long.”

Alanis said he has also watched Captain America: Winter Soldier a number of times at home. He said he won’t watch any other movie so many times again – although he hasn’t gotten sick of it.

“Can’t be sick of it,” Alanis said. “I do recite [the lines] in my mind, and sometimes out loud when there’s no one sitting next to me.

“My friends and family have been very supportive. My parents and younger sister came with me when I reached 100 views.”

Alanis has contacted the Guinness World Book of Records but hasn’t yet heard from them.

As of now, he doesn’t plan to stop even at 128. “I might reach 200, but who knows,” Alanis said.
