A man who is married to a woman 53 years older than him has shared an update about her condition after she had a heart attack.
21-year-old Gary Hardwick said that his lovely wife, 74-year-old Almeda, fell ill on April 1. He then started sharing updates with their TikTok fans since then.
Gary said in one of their videos: “I want to take a moment here and give you guys an update on my lovely wife.
“First off I want to say thank you all so, so much for your overwhelming love and support and prayers and best wishes to us. It really, really means the world to Almeda and I, so much. More than you guys will ever know.
“So currently, we are waiting for Almeda’s next doctor’s appointment. The doctor she did have that she went in with the procedure for, he has referred her to another doctor because the three stents, or the three blockages she has to her heart are high risk.
“So we’re waiting for an appointment with her new doctor, which will be next week and we’re praying that he can do the stents, all three stents, and she will not have to have heart surgery.”
His updates are far from their usual videos, which includes clips of them miming songs and kissing. The couple have more than 20,000 followers on TikTok and over 163,000 likes.
Almeda and Gary met at her son’s funeral and they tied the knot two weeks later.
Their relationship is more than just kissing on TikTok. In an interview with Loose Women in 2018, they spoke about their active and healthy sex life.
“Everything about her from her beautiful eyes but mainly her personality – her personality has always been amazing,” Gary said about their first sex.
The couple also have their own YouTube channel where they said: “I would say we have found happiness.
“We want to let people know that they too have someone regardless of their age, same-sex relationship and interracial relationships. Let us have our happiness and find your own way of happiness.”
