Man Tried To Get On A Train With His Dog In A Burlap Sack – The Conductor Refused To Let Him Board The Train

A man, who was carrying his dog in a burlap sack, was trying to get on a train at Carroll Street in Brooklyn but the MTA conductor refused him to get on the train.

A video that was shared on Twitter shows the man arguing with the MTA conductor and says, ‘But it’s the rule. You can have it in a bag.’

The conductor replies: ‘That’s not a bag. That’s not considered a bag. I can get fired for letting you on my train.’

A video of the incident was shared on Twitter by Will Sabel Courtney with the caption: ‘Saw this guy arguing with an @MTA conductor about bringing his dog on the subway. Dude said the dog’s burlap sack was a bag; conductor said nope, wouldn’t let him on the train. @Gothamist @A_W_Gordon @2AvSagas #NYCSubway’.

The video was later posted on ViralHog Facebook page where it got mixed reactions as some supported the man while some said everyone should follow the rules.

One user wrote: ‘I’d rather sit next to the dog than some of the passengers! What is it with this country and dogs in public places’ while another user added: ‘Technically he should have been allowed’.

The third one commented: ‘Dog is not touching ground I would rather be by that man and his dog than some of the filthy people on trains’.

Some criticized the man for not following the rules. One user said: ‘People will always push the limits, agree with conductor’ while another added: ‘Rules are rules and the conductor should have followed them.’

We do agree that rules are for everyone and the conductor did the right thing.
