After all his packages started missing, Jaireme Barrow invented “The Blank Box”.
Jaireme said he would get home and the packages wouldn’t be on his front porch. When he’d watch the surveillance, he’d see someone running away with them.

Eventually, he got tired of the thieves and decided to scare them away.
He invented “The Blank Box” which is basically an empty booby-trapped box with fishing wire and a 12-gauge shotgun blank that goes off.
He said: “You can move it around however you want. You don’t have to worry about it going off. Leave it on the porch all day and then when someone comes up to pick it up — pop! pop! — that’s when it goes off.”
“It’s just like any alarm system. It’s just a loud noise and it deters theft, but it just happens to be a 12-gauge blank in this case”, he added.

He said: “So it’s all hands-on, made in America. Every one of these is built with love.”
He said he just wanted to scare the thieves away so they never come back. He is getting all the support from his neighbours.
However, Tacoma police have warned him that if it injures a thief, he could be held liable.
Police have said to him to just file a police report and provide with the surveillance videos whenever someone steals his packages.
But, Jaireme’s business is booming and he plans to continue selling “The Blank Box”.
