Man Shopping In A Full-Latex Outfit To Raise Money For Charity


A man has gone viral after shopping in a full-latex outfit in order to bring a smile on people’s faces and raise money for charity.

The anonymous UK-based man, who is known as the ‘Gimp Man of Essex,’ allegedly decided to don the rubber outfit to “cheer people up” amid grim times.

After his first trip to the store, a positive response from the shoppers made the Gimp Man return and start raising money for Mid and North East Essex Mind who “support and empower people experiencing an emotional or mental health condition” according to the fundraiser description.

Speaking of his mission, the latex enthusiast said:

“I just want to put a smile on people’s faces, to raise a bit of money for charity and it is a bit of fun whilst feeding your exhibitionist streak.

“I’ve never gone into supermarkets, but I thought with everything going on I’d go in to try and cheer everyone up and if they don’t let me in that’d be the end of it really. But I had a brilliant reception, I got chatting to the woman in front me as I started queuing up and everyone started taking pictures.”

Following a great response from the supermarket staff and fellow shoppers, the Gimp Man decided to keep his latex suit in the game, something that he apparently enjoys a lot.

“I raise money charity, but I won’t make any bones about it wearing rubber feeds my exhibitionist streak, but I never thought I’d wear it in Tesco,” the anonymous man added.

“Everyone needs to laugh where they can at the moment and I just hope the lockdown isn’t getting the better of people.”
