The man who shot an unarmed young woman who stole a flying Nazi flag from the front of his home has insisted he used his AR-15 in self-defense.
45-year-old Alexander Feaster from Hunter, Oklahoma, was arrested and charged after shooting 26-year-old Kyndal McVey who stole his flying Nazi flag on a dare back in June.
Now, Feaster has claimed that he had acted in self-defense and called himself a “loyal American” and a “patriotic citizen” who shot at McVey because he felt he was in “imminent danger of death or great bodily harm.point 553 |

Following the shooting, during which four of eight fired bullets hit the young woman, McVey was rushed to hospital where she underwent multiple surgeries over the period of several weeks.
Meanwhile, Feaster was arrested and charged with a felony count of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
As investigators claimed, Feaster appeared to be “anticipating an incident” whereas he kept 15 firearms in his home. The investigators also found what appeared to be an observation chair facing the front of his home.
“There was a large ashtray containing several cigarette buts and a handcuff pouch containing handcuffs on a box next to the chair,” the probable cause affidavit read.
“It appeared that Mr. Feaster was anticipating an incident to take place and had been watching from that spot.”
Following his arrest, Feaster argued his $300,000 bond should be reduced because he was a constant target of threats due to his beliefs.
As the 45-year-old said, the Nazi flags flying around his house “were associated in the public’s consciousness with the Third Reich and National Socialism.”
The man also insisted McVey should be charged with trespassing, hate crime, public intoxication, and theft.
Shortly after a judge granted Feaster’s motion to reduce his bond to $75,000, the 45-year-old has been released pending arraignment.
