A 36-year-old man who allegedly tried to rape his niece had his penis and scrotum cut off and fed to wild pigs.
The unnamed attacker sparked outrage in the municipality of Olhos D’Agua in northern Brazil after he allegedly attempted to rape his 20-year-old niece, who managed to break free and run away from him.
Her boyfriend and his cousin were left fuming after hearing the attempted rape.
The victim’s boyfriend and his cousin allegedly asked the uncle to join them in a sugarcane field where they made plans to neuter pigs.
When the uncle arrived at the field, the two furious men attacked him and hacked off his penis and scrotum before feeding the private parts to the pigs.
The man managed to call emergency services when he regained consciousness but surgeons said that there’s nothing they can do to reattach his private parts.
Police officer Stephan da Silva said that officers searched for the missing penis and testicles but they could not find it. They believe that the genitalia had already been eaten by wild pigs.
“This case is something unusual, out of the ordinary. It is even inhumane,” he said.
Doctors reconstructed the man’s urinary tract so he could relieve himself.
Surgeon Felipe Lobo said: “It was like something out of a scene from a Dante novel. His penis and scrotum had been severed and his external genitalia were completely missing.”
“All we could do was stem the bleeding, give him a blood transfusion and clean the wound,” the surgeon added.
The uncle is now on antibiotics and he will be able to return home in four days. It is not clear if he will be charged with attempted rape.
However, the two suspects who hacked off his private parts have been arrested.
