Miller was charged with four counts of aggravated battery and three counts of sexual assault while Take is charged with two counts of child endangerment and permitting abuse of a child.
Authorities started investigating the man after they were contacted to Anderson Hospital in Illinois. Cops discovered evidence that the toddler was being abused.
Miller assaulted the child once on June 10 and the abuse happened again two weeks later.
Charging documents said the 40-year-old drugged the child with cocaine and caused bodily harm by biting her foot, leg, and hand. Take was also charged with child endangerment as she allowed the assaults to happen and did not get medical treatment for the child.
She was charged with a count of permitting sexual abuse of a child and a second count of child endangerment.
The girl was transferred to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
Miller’s bond was set at $1 million and Take’s at $500,000.
