Social media was flooded with hilarious comments after a man was found sleeping in Florida’s Hard Rock Stadium despite the fact that he paid $7,000 to watch the Super Bowl there.
The man who was later identified as Declan Kelly, CEO of international consultant company Teneo, slept almost a quarter on Sunday while his favorite match was going on.
The footage showing Kelly sleeping with his eyes closed and arms folded was shared to Twitter by Karisa Maxwell.
She captioned the clip: “Somehow, this man is sleeping through the #SuperBowl. We’re still only in the first quarter.”
The video which soon went viral got different responses from people, with some finding his attitude infuriating while many saying that the incident was just hilarious.
Some netizens even admired Kelly for his ability to comfortably sleep in such a noisy and crowded place.
Twitter user Clemmy commented: “You gotta be rich to spend $1500 plus on a super bowl ticket just to sleep at the game.”
“Holy c*** how much did he pay to sleep at the Super Bowl?” said another.
Christian Vind exclaimed: “How could someone sleep at the most iconic events? The Super Bowl was a must watch!”
Someone suggested that Kelly might have been looking for a place to get a nap away from his children. Meanwhile, somebody proposed that he might have drunk too much.
Whatever the reason had remained, social media users claimed that Kelly’s act of sleeping was no less than a talent.
“No sleep mask. No ear plugs. No weighted blanket. Pure talent,” wrote Valerie Michaels.
“Told his wife he was working overtime. Becomes a national treasure,” someone else said. “Day drinking is one of the most difficult sports there is,” stated another.
Teneo enjoys close links with Bill Clinton and his associates.
Before Kelly had started his own consultant company, he had been working as State Department’s economic envoy for Northern Ireland.
Moreover, he has also served on the position of executive vice president in FTI Consulting.
