A Man Got Locked Inside Gym After Employees Closed The Doors And Went Home

Dan Hill, from Sandy, was busy in swimming laps at the weekend and he suddenly realized he was all alone in the whole building.

He was not sure what to do as he thought if he would trigger an alarm by opening any doors and be mistaken for an invader.

He decided to call the police and also posted a series of photos to Facebook writing, “I am literally locked inside 24-hour fitness right now.”

“They closed the doors and went home while I was swimming my laps in the pool. Doesn’t the name suggests that they stay open 24 hours? Walking around trying to figure out how to get out. I called Sandy dispatch. They told me they’d call me back.”

“I called my wife, she said find a comfortable place to sleep. LOL.”

The post went viral and garnered thousands of likes and shares. One person commented, “At least you don’t have anyone to stare at you while you workout.”

Another added: “They should give you a free membership now!”

One recalled: “Haha same thing happened to me at a movie theater back in 99. I fell asleep on the last showing of a movie, they didn’t check the theater and when I woke up I was locked in. Was stuck in there till I triggered the alarm and the GM and Police came.”

Hill told ‘the guy’: “I’m in 24 Hour Fitness, and there’s an alarm system here and I don’t want to get busted for breaking and entering.”

Three police officers arrived and rescued him, he also took a picture with them. “Free at last! Free at last! Thanks to three nice cops I am free at last.”

“I still love my 24 (even if it is now my 20),” he wrote about his gym on Facebook.
