A 44-year-old man in Thailand got the shock of his life when he went to the bathroom and pulled a long, wriggling tapeworm out of his bum!
Kritsada Ratprachoom from Udon Thani was just going about his day after dropping his child off at school when he felt the need to do a number 2.
But after finishing his business, the freelance photographer said he could feel something “sticking out of his butt.”
“I had just finished dropping my child off at school and ran some errands when I had to go [for a] number two. Afterwards, I felt like I wasn’t finished defecating, like something was left,” he said to Khaosod. “So I got up to see what it was. Turns out there was something sticking out of my bottom.”
The father just had a surgery to remove his appendix a week before and first thought that there was a string left from the surgery. However, he eventually realized that the thing was stretchy and sticky.
He started pulling the tapeworm out and said he felt the wriggling worm could’ve been stretched up for over 30 feet.
The shocked man placed it down on the toilet cistern and it started wriggling around before flushing it down the toilet.
He is still perplexed as to how it got inside him.
One internet user commented: “& he thought the best thing to do was take pictures and tell the world about it??? Dear Lord, cut those nails man, I’m surprised there wasn’t a serious injury during the removal process!!”
Another wrote: “So this has been up his back side and he drapes it all over his hand and all over the back of the toilet? No wonder he got it in the first place, he has no clue about hygiene, obviously.”
A third added: “Think we need more close up pics of the worm.”
