A man who was stopped by the police as he was driving around in a Porsche filled with firearm insisted the guns belonged to his cousin John Wick when cops pulled him over.
27-year-old Florida man Getro Gelin was stopped by the police after a woman reported him and claimed he assaulted her and threatened her with a gun.
After the officers obtained consent to search Gelin’s car, they came across a semi-automatic rifle, a Glock 21, and a Kevlar vest according to the police report obtained by The Smoking Gun.
As the police confronted the man about the firearm, he told them they belonged to his cousin John Wick to whom he allegedly sold the Porsche.
According to the police report, Gelin later admitted John Wick was not the real name of his cousin. However, he refused to provide them with the real name of the alleged cousin.
“Deputy Deblieck ran the VIN number to the vehicle, which revealed the vehicle belonged to Getro Gelin. Gelin was again asked for consent to search the Porsche SUV, which he consented,” the Port St. Lucie Sheriff report read.
“Inside the rear compartment of the Grey Porsche SUV, Deputy Paterson located a Black Glock 21, a black semi-automatic rifle and a Kevlar Vest.
“Deputy Loupe asked Gelin why the weapons were found in the Porsche SUV that belonged to him. Gelin replied he had sold the Porsche to his cousin John Wick. Gelin stated he lied about the name, but that he would not reveal his cousin’s name.”
According to The New York Post, the 27-year-old was arrested and charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault.
