A man has initiated a search for a ‘+ 1’ to join him on his luxury trip to Jamaica after he was dumped by his girlfriend prior to the already paid vacation.
Unwilling to let the extra seat go to waste, 24-year-old Reece Walker made a Facebook announcement in which he explained he was in need of a partner to join him on his paid trip to a 5* resort.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances of being dumped, I currently have an all-expenses-paid, all-inclusive holiday in a luxury 5-star resort in Jamaica all to myself in September for 2 weeks,” Reece wrote on Facebook.
“Therefore, I am now looking for a + 1 to join me … All applications will be carefully considered and the lucky winner will be chosen.”
After hundreds of potential freeloaders signed up for the deal, one, in particular, captured Reece’s attention.
“At the time of the post going up my messages were being flooded with different applications, so I wasn’t really going through them at this point. Then something made me click on this one message I received, which was Chloe’s – everything just fell into place from there,” Reece said in an interview with LADbible.
Chloe James is a 20-year-old fitness enthusiast and a customer service agent who signed up for the free trip after she was encouraged to do so by her friend.
“We actually have spoken quite a bit considering, I think when you just click with someone and you have a lot of things in common, it’s easy to talk to someone,” Reece added, suggesting that things might already be heating up between the pair.
“We have a month to get to know each other until we end up on holiday.”
As for Chloe, she admitted she doesn’t know why Reece chose her. However, she hopes that the two will become the best of pals before taking off to Jamaica.
